Combining theory and practice, the Culinary Tech Center’s curriculum provides students with the entry-level practical skills needed to successfully join the workforce. Each nationally accredited program concludes with a comprehensive externship, where students can gain experience working in a real-world environment and hone their teamwork and professional skills. Our programs include:
- Commercial Cooking Plus Externship– This 600-hour program can help you compete for entry-level positions, including prep cook, garde manger, grill cook and line cook. You’ll also prepare for the NYC Food Handler’s Certification exam.
- Hospitality Operations – Learn practical techniques in hotel operations, as well as job search skills, in this 600-hour program designed to prepare you for careers in hotels, resorts, restaurants, cruise lines, convention centers, private clubs and other businesses.
